It’s a curious and completely invalid and uninformed comparison.
Slavery isn’t a current issue. That’s simply where it began. No one today is being asked to be accountable for slavery.
HOWEVER, the legacy of slavery and then legislature and business practice that has kept non-whites in an inferior position without equal access to the opportunities of their white neighbors is the issue.
Many of us have been passive (or active) benefactors of the rights that have not been afforded to our non-white neighbors.
If you can’t describe your perspective without a meme, maybe you aren’t all that bright.
