Why do black lives only seem to matter when a white cop kills a black person?

Where are the protests and outrage for all of the black people killed by other black people or asians or Mexicans?

Because police are supposed to be held to a higher standard.

If cops are going to suck ass just like everyone else then they may as well all go home and we can have anarchy.

At least anarchy doesn't pretend to be anything other than anarchy. Its honest. You know to expect bad things and can prepare accordingly.
@SW-User protests only happen when a white cop is involved, any other race and no one gives a shit.
SW-User
@Tiredandlonely that's not true. That's just the only time the media is paying attention, and by extension, the only time you are paying attention.

Police ARE held to a higher standard.
The cop in Minneapolis arrested and charged.
Looters, rioters, arsonists - let go.

@Budwick after the damage is done.

The fact that this happens so regularly is indicative of a trend man.

The writing has been on the wall for years; outrage like this doesnt happen overnight. Humans aren't that proactive about anything at all. It takes constant pressure to make people pop.

What you are witnessing is the pop.

after the damage is done.

Are you expecting arrests and charges BEFORE the crime is committed?
SW-User
@Budwick BEFORE people have to DIE?

Yes.

And like I said if the officers find that unreasonable then they can go home.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User Your proposal to charge people with crimes before committed is just plain stupid.

Don't bother responding unless you have something intelligent to add to the conversation.
SW-User
@Budwick your jumping to wildly inaccurate conclusions is stupid.

See, this is why people like you are the problem: you dont even give what people say a thought. You just see the words and dispense with an emotional response.

Go back and read what I said again and use your critical thinking skills to figure out what I meant by that. It shouldn't be hard for someone that claims to be intelligent.

If you cannot do so then yes this conversation is pointless because you will make up your own meanings for the words that I say.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User You say stupid things.
You had two chances to clarify your stupid comment.
And stupidly - you did not.
Instead, you blame me for not understanding your stupid comment.
SW-User
@Budwick you dont want to understand you just want to chew on that old bone. And you can have it.

I never said arrest people before they commit a crime YOU said that. You FAILED to understand something i clearly wrote out and so you filled in the blank that you drew.

Read this part again (or, more realistically, for the first time). I wont waste words.

The writing has been on the wall for years; outrage like this doesnt happen overnight. Humans aren't that proactive about anything at all. It takes constant pressure to make people pop.

Now. Let me take a deep breath and try to help you.

If this has been happening for a while, and it has, dont you think cops may have perpetrated lesser crimes that went unpunished before they gained the confidence to straight up murder people?

As a matter of fact it is a FACT that the officer who murdered Floyd had NUMEROUS complaints filed against him and was a KNOWN brute.

So what I was suggesting, sir, was that you punish police for the FIRST incident of brutality and not the FINAL incident.

Make sense?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User I asked "Are you expecting arrests and charges BEFORE the crime is committed?"

Your response - "BEFORE people have to DIE? Yes."

What did I misunderstand?
SW-User
@Budwick you took that to mean that I felt that people should be punished before they commit a crime.

What i meant was what I just said: cops should be punished the very second they set a toe over the line. Ie, not only once they have killed someone.

That cop was given too many chances. They all are.

They should only get the one.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User
you took that to mean that I felt that people should be punished before they commit a crime.

It WAS the question you answered!

What does "set a toe over the line" mean?
And when I ask that question - THAT is the question I am seeking an answer to.

@SW-User most cops are ok , because these four cops are wrongens ....not all blacks are good or bad either...blacks need to stop killing blacks and whites and cops need to treat blacks more fairly......but nothing will happen until the protests stop....

That's what I meant. Imagine if the officer in question had been fired after the first, second, or even third filed complaint.

Floyd would still be alive.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@SW-User
That's what I meant.

Perhaps you should have said that at the outset.
I agree.
Platinum · M
And Floyd being alive will make the world a better place....I don't think so....@SW-User
SW-User
@Platinum that's not the point. You dont get to kill people without due process.

I'm sure you've done bad things in your life too. Does that mean the police should hunt you down and execute you?
Platinum · M
The cops have lost their jobs and have been charged@SW-User

That's why the policeman was arrested for MURDER.

Any concerns for the 100 people shot in Chicago last Saturday?
4 little kids among them.

None of 'em white by the way - so you don't have to worry about wasting greif or concern over white people.
Platinum · M
@SW-User ive never broke into a pregnant womens house with my mates and threatened to kill her unless she handed over drugs and money......have you?
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Budwick

No, no, no, Budwick.... you don't understand.
Black on black murder is also due to systemic white racism.

Especially in cities that have been under one-party Democrat control for many decades.
