Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Defunding the Police

We've also learned that 'Defunding the Police' means;
'Defunding the Police'. Initially, leftists led by BLM and antifa tried walking back the ridiculous concept saying stuff like 'We want to redirect funds from policing to other community resources like social workers.' Which of course is the same thing as 'Defunding the Police'.

Later it was discovered in the New York Times that 'Yes, We Mean Literally Abolish The Police', according to the author of the leftist policy, Mariame Kaba, a Soros alumnae.

Meanwhile, a list of demands have been written by the rioters. And, leftist leadership are actually considering negotiating with the terrorists holding Seattle hostage.

And, as one might expect, since the terrorists are being tolerated in Seattle, riots are exploding in other parts of the country. I suspect we'll see more capitulation by local democrats, more sections of cities taken over by terrorists, more sudden resignations of police and police chiefs, and more demands made by terrorists.

This no longer about George Whatshisname. It's about dismantling law and order, erasing America.

It's yet another unprecedented challenge for American people, for national leadership to unravel, repair. It becomes crystal clear that no one on the left is capable or even willing to take on the challenge, Thus far, their response is to negotiate surrender which is not an option.

President Trump is the ONLY one with the courage and stamina to take on this problem, to restore law and order and get back to the business of Making America Even Greater.

I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

I think their first mistake was labeling it "defunding the police" when what they were actually calling for was reducing funding to the police and re-appropriating the monies to create services that would lessen the workload of police.

To have an opinion on that I would have to see the details and it would vary greatly from one jurisdiction to another.

I disagree that it is about dismantling law and order or erasing America. If you read up on where our original police came from and look at how much is spent in some cities on them today their value can be questioned.

A poll from Ispos also found;
82% of Americans want to ban police from using chokeholds, 83% want to ban racial profiling, and 92% want federal police to be required to wear body cameras.

It also found that 89% of Americans want to require police to give the people they stop their name, badge number and reason for the stop, and 91% support allowing independent investigations of police departments that show patterns of misconduct.

Seventy-five percent of Americans want to support “allowing victims of police misconduct to sue police departments for damages.”

@Dominus Well they have a whole laundry list of demands here in Oklahoma including bringing a grocery store into one neighborhood where the last one (which was fairly new) closed up. Demanding that. If they were good customers the other store would have stayed in business.

That would be unbelievable, right? But, check it out - even the NYT reports that's exactly what they mean.

@Budwick They aren't 'reporting' it. It's an opinion piece

@RodionRomanovitch Yu don't respect the opinion of the NYT?

It's not our fault that conservatives are fucking morons and believed their political heroes that "defunding PBS" would eliminate it from the planet. Or that "defunding Planned Parenthood" would immediately stop all abortions and have the board members lynched on the national mall.

@Budwick
Yu don't respect the opinion of the NYT?
You don't understand that an opinion piece isn't the opinion of the publishing body?

Wow, you really are a fucking moron, aren't you?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Budwick It's not the opinion of the NYT. No more than Sen. Tom Coton's piece was last week. It's by Mariame Kaba
Ms. Kaba is an organizer against criminalization.

We don't think that at all!
We would at least no be funding their murderous activities.

@Budwick And you still don't understand that an opinion piece isn't the opinion of the publishing body.

Sad.

@daisymay Today, with more than 28% of all black pregnancies ending in induced abortion, it is a human crisis.

Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, abortion kills more black people than HIV, homicide, diabetes, accident, cancer, and heart disease … combined.

Sounds like a lot of black lives don't matter at all!

You support black genocide.
I do not.
You are a racist.
I am not.
