Did I hear this right?

Trump is going to hold his Convention Speech in Jacksonville Florida because the original location refuses to relax their safety measures.

But here's the messed up part; No occupancy limits, no social distancing, no facemasks, and you MUST to agree not to sue anyone if you get COVID from this gathering.

In other words, Trump and his people are going out of their way to risk hundreds of peoples' health and safety for no reason at all.

Am I misinformed?

An interesting thing in the agreement — the signer (whoever pushes the button to order the tickets, basically) agrees not only for themselves, but also for any guests.

Anyone with even the most passing familiarity with contract law will tell you that this isn't how it works. One person cannot sign away the rights of another person. So, if someone goes to this klan rally as the guest of someone else and then contracts COVID-19, they can still sue.
