@kodiac This is the best example there is of the racism that still exists, and I don’t see us getting past it in my lifetime.
Obama was expected to “fix” the racism of people like you, and people in his government, simply because he’s black. How can somebody fix [b]your[/b] racism ? He dealt with [b]death[/b] threats against himself, his wife and daughters, because of his race. He dealt with the racism from members of his own f*cking government. And [b]he[/b] didn’t hold rallies or [b]tweet[/b] trashing the GOP about the things they did and said, in their [b]constant[/b] attempts to obstruct him in his actual job.
And let’s [b]talk[/b] about Trayvon Martin. A seventeen year old going to his father’s house, “armed” with a soda and a bag of candy. A strange armed man starts following him. The man calls 911 about a black stranger. 911 says they’ll send someone out, and tell the man [b]specifically[/b] to stop following him. The man persists, saying “they always get away” with no indication the kid has done [b]anything[/b] other than being BLACK and unknown to that man.
He confronts the kid, they scuffle, and the man shoots him dead. If it had been a white kid, the man wouldn’t have been [b]following[/b] him in the first place, and he’d certainly be in jail for killing him. But black lives don’t matter. The police drug tested the body of the dead kid, but not the armed civilian who followed and shot him. They found nothing stronger than pot.
Then they initially kept the minor’s body from his parents, who were put off by the police for 42 days until they got activists involved to get answers about their son’s death; [b]that[/b] was what it took. Then began the character assassination of the deceased, because they had to justify not immediately arresting this man for killing an unarmed kid. Obama said to the grieving parents, “this could’ve been my child”. And I don’t expect you to understand that kind of [b]compassion[/b], racists don’t possess that kind of human understanding.
Because he was absolutely right. If Obama’d had a son, he could very easily have ended up in that kind of situation—innocent or guilty, just because of the profiling that has always existed.

@kodiac Did [b]you[/b] know that his parents actually had to get his image [b]copyrighted[/b] in order to fight white supremacist bloggers from issuing photoshopped pics ? The same folks who quietly raised Zimmerman’s bail. I don’t know you, and I’m disappointed, because you seemed like a really decent person. But the last couple of weeks has shown me who are lot of people here really are, down deep.
