@QuixoticSoul WOW.. That surprises me a lot.. They'll be out on bail and walking around and never go to jail for anything they did, because they were cops.. Cops get away with murder and stuff like this - roughing up unarmed civilians all the time..

@polyandrym66 They're out on personal recognizance, not bail. Which is ok, they're cops after all, and nobody views them as a flight risk.

I'm not.. Cops get away with lots all the time.. It's why they become cops..

The point of keeping someone in jail before trial is because you think they might flee. Do you seriously think these two will flee?

@QuixoticSoul I want them to sit in jail, like other criminals and ponder what they did and why...
You want them to walk around like free men, like nothing happened until they show up at a kangaroo court to get their charges thrown out or dismissed because they were cops..

Common criminals have to post bail because the judge thinks they'll take off and never show up for trial. It's not a punishment - everyone is innocent until found guilty.

People are pretty sure these two will show up for their trial, and that includes me.

@QuixoticSoul Sure they will show up to see their charges dismissed because they were just doing their job..

@polyandrym66 Separate issue. Them being charged at all is a good sign though.
