Finland
Norway
Denmark
Sweden
Iceland
Switzerland
Netherlands

Canada
Austria

-The immigrants and citizens of these countries were rated on GDP, social support, health, life expectancy, freedom to do what you want and life choices, generosity, perception of corruption, crime, etc! Here is my hometown

@MarmeeMarch Likely to a higher extent than here, US is a surprisingly xenophobic place for being a nation of immigrants.

@MarmeeMarch Indians' average waiting period for a greencard is 50 years. Trust me lamo, they don't feel all that welcome.

@Roadsterrider Who: nationally representative sample. What: it's usually a Cantril ladder type thing.

@MarmeeMarch How did they come to their conclusion? What questions and to who were asked.

@Roadsterrider I just gave you the websites, you can just look it up.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@Kwek00 The link is bad, I did find an article listing the "happiest" countries. They were short on details and long on listing.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Roadsterrider One link is a 200 page paper where they explain the entire methodology on how they came to the result.

The last link is a link that takes you the website that explains the same thing, but works with tabs.

Maybe the problem is, that you are opening a big document (pdf) on your phone.

@Kwek00 The website link worked, thanks, it is based largely on the Gallup poll. I looked for info on the Gallup poll and I can find the fields but not questions. I would like to compare the results to what I would answer. An example would be a question of basic needs being met. Is there assistance for shelter, food, and medical care?

A crotchety old miser would say, "Oh, yes, they tax me to death to pay for public assistance for food, medical cards, housing, daycare and everything else under the sun." The answer is Yes, basic needs are being met.

When you ask that person on public assistance if basic needs are being met, yes, they have food, housing and medical assistance and get by. The answer is yes, basic needs are being met even though the answer is from wildly different perspectives. I will keep trying to find the questions, more an exercise for my brain than anything important.

@Roadsterrider Sweden doesnt have shelters! They give everyone an apartment and pays the rent if you are poor!
