@Nimbus If your question is serious, "Pete" is the Apostle Peter and the expression "For Pete's sake" replaced "For Christ's sake as they thought that this is what "taking the Lord's name in vain" meant.
(Taking the Lord's name in vain is actually to put on the act and claim that one is saved, but has not repented in the least.)
Taking the Lord's name: is the same as "covered by His blood" while "in vain" means that the claim of repentance/salvation was spoken in vanity and not genuine repentance.
