Is This really news?

China calls Trump, and I quote "A Giant Baby on the Brink of a Meltdown."
Hands up all who did not already know this..

Oh I agree with Trumps venting - and China is now preparing for a slowdown in business - and we see the shortages at our stores - I never knew there was so much peg-board at our Target stores - but I suppose with all of that China crap out of the way - you see the bare cubbards.. Maybe we can start getting our foot in our own door again.

@MarmeeMarch Okay. Hyperthetically and in principle I agree with what you say. But in the real world who is going to stake a new small business making anythingpreviously made in China? What bank is going to back them? What lead time will it take before say car breaking parts or airbags can be debidned, tested and bought up to manufacturing speed.? Who is going to pay for the supply and whithc consumers are going to pay the $ thousands more for each ford or GM car when the Mazda, Toyota and BMW are still the same old price.? Its not going to happen.
@whowasthatmaskedman Well there are so many many many things that we buy from China - we can get back in the market again by not being so greedy and wanting to save on labor. It would be to their advantage at this time - it's a perfect time in fact. Nothing from China ? - we still have a demand - and its not everything - although that would be ideal - but real world - just a hand full of specific things we should build ourselves. HERE

@MarmeeMarch Yes. We agree. and defence contractors do have to comply. Which is why $3 wrench costs the Pentagon $45.
@MarmeeMarch But then prices will go up and people will scream bloody murder

@independentone This is how cheap imports got a hold in the first place. Local wages and supply were too expensive.
