Just look at it this way, when our future youngsters complain about how hard they have it, this is going to be our old person "back in my day" story moment.
It may be more of an American joke, since you guys don't get snow but basically the joke is older people saying things like... "Back in my day, I had to walk to school, in the snow, uphill both ways. My lunch was two baked potatoes that I had to carry to keep my hands warm."

@ViciDraco That's IF we ALL make it as let's face it our not so brave leaders don't care about us. Also in the UK we have the same saying as that but also, "wehn I was younger....", "many years ago why I was just a child......or a classic TV show where the saying is "during the war"
