Capitalism works as long as the government is answerable to the people. The problem is people have gotten so damn lazy they gave too much power over to the government expecting government to provide security for all.
As anyone knows, power corrupts. Now we have filthy rich elites in control who have no clue what it is to actually "live" in the world today and only care about things that directly effect them.
"We The People" no longer matter to those in the ruling class.

Does capitalism control government or government control capitalism? Is that not communism by another name? It's what they have in China isn't it?

@Julieeung The government is supposed to be answerable to the people. The people are supposed to keep the government in check. That is the actual reason for the second amendment. It was written to guarantee the people arms to be able to defend themselves against a tyrannical government.
Simple answer to your question is capitalism should control government.

So the gunmakers hold the exercise of power, the expression of freedom?

@Julieeung That has been one of the largest debates in recent history. It is not so much the gun makers as the gun owners.
I am sure if I attempt to answer your question I will only start a huge argument with the snowflakes.
