@Budwick Except for certain territories (like EU or the United States) you have no free borders between the states that aren't part of the construction. States in the US don't enforce their borders neither does the EU. And still the Corona virus spreads, even if we have no free borders between loads of countries that are affected?
How much qurantine are you advocating for, if you want to keep a virus from spreading to other nations? And are you okay with people from the nation mingling together in social activity even though other virusses (like the flu) have a high deadtoll every year? Or is just better to get a virus from someone in your own country? How fucked up is this argument Budwick, please elaborate? 🤦♂️

I'm against open borders I'm pro helping to prevent spread the disease. I don't believe we should have a permanent border policy that keeps virusses from spreading by entering the country.
Because making policy on the basis of that fear... is fucking insane if you start thinking on the logistics? Trade? People that go away for all kinds of reasons. It's so absurd that it can make it into a Monty Python sketch.
@Kwek00 It would surprise you to know that the laws and policies are already on the books, but the goddamndemocrats think it is cute to disobey federal law, hence their opposition to anything resembling sealing the borders with the exception of controlled entrance points

@Kwek00 Not irrational fear Sparky. Concerned respect. Check out what happened in 1918 - look at how the government relaxed to 'prevent panic'. At the moment, things are under control in the USA. Just want to keep it that way is all.
Personally, I never liked open borders before and I don't now.

So I'm asking you if you are in a favor of like having a permanent policy that keeps all viruses out? Like how far are you willing to go? We have measures now, there are borders, there are inspections... and yet the virus has spread. So how far do you permanently need to keep similair things from happening in the future?
@Kwek00 When viruses are hot - personally, I'd close the borders. Like, you can't fly in from China right now. It won't be that way forever.
Measures, borders, inspections have been half hearted at best. We THINK we've detected everyone infected that entered USA because we HAVE paid better attention.
If you are suggesting that we shouldn't do anything cuz what they've done hasn't prevented s[read - I think that's crazy.
