Do you think that having a space force as a military branch is an exaggeration or just a preventive measure?

Does it make the future seem a lot more twisted and macabre or is it an indicator of progress?

I imagine what it will do is just take over what the Air Force (mostly) is already doing, which is monitoring satellites, orbital debris and such.

I also imagine that this will be one of the things that is quickly undone as soon as sanity returns to Washington.
