Here we go again...impeachment final arguments. Are you, like me, just sick of the Democrat's lack of intelligent argument?

I just heard it again...Jason Crow saying that it is the "duty" of the Senate to remove Trump from office because it is too dangerous to allow him to run in the next election.

That's code for, " Democrats, Know Better Than the American People, and We DON"T Want the American People to Be Able to Vote for Their Own Choice of President". In other words, they want to remove our rights and our liberties.

And THAT is, in turn, code, for "Totalitarian Democrats Want The Power Back Because YOU Are Too Stupid to Know that Huge Centralized Government ALWAYS Fails And We Just Want to Cash IN BEFORE the Collapse WE WILL Create!!!"

When are the Dems going to figure out that ALL of us see right through them? SMH. (Remembering 2012... no jobs...and how hard it used to be to get one...remembering boarded up storefronts...businesses destroyed...states with no money to plow the snow...I haven't forgotten). THAT is what the DEMS want for us...again.

(((hugs))) no seriously, you're the first American that has voiced a sensible opinion on the whole trump won the election, that I know of.
all the others bang on endlessly about how he didn't have a majority but got in anyway. I can't comment on the impeachment because I have not been following it properly but I think he's going to be acquitted.
from the outside looking in he appears to be doing whatever is best for the US in the long term, inevitably there are going to minor problems to solve.
4meAndyou · F
@Johnblackthorn Yup. It's all quite true.
Johnblackthorn · 56-60, M
@4meAndyou I am now ashamed to admit that a few years ago despite my doubts that I passed the global conspiracy is just that, a conspiracy theory but now all the evidence points that way.
4meAndyou · F
@Johnblackthorn It really does. It's strategy. If you are mocked, and made to seem as though you are crazy for speaking, and accused of being a wild eyed conspiracy theorist, they can sneak up on you more easily, figuratively. They have already lulled Europe into complacency, and they are in process with the United States.

Here, in the USA, we can usually figure out what dirty tricks the Democrats are pulling because their strategy is to accuse Conservatives of whatever they are doing.

I find the whole thing stupid.
Personally, I hope should Trump win a second term, that he just unleashes on the (remaining) Democrats; and pushes for term limits for Congress.
4meAndyou · F
@xixgun The House, unfortunately, would be in charge of proposing such a bill and passing it on to the senate. And the House has already rejected the idea.
xixgun · M
@4meAndyou Could this not be brought forth in a special election?
4meAndyou · F
@xixgun It would have to be presented as a change to the constitution. Presently, there are no term limits...except by election. So we have some perennial a-holes in the House and Senate both, who usually die there of old age, because they ONCE seemed like a good choice, and people are usually too lazy to accept change. They can only remember so many names, and will often just vote for a name they recognize.

Who's us?

I hear your point of view, and your frustration as well with "them" for not sharing it, but you're not even addressing the danger he sees in Trump, why you don't see it (or care less about it).

Some of "us" may see the danger of an unchecked executive as being more of a danger and more totalitarian than a huge centralized government that has its own checks and balances.

I hear your frustration about attempting to unseat the President you voted for, but your argument would seem more persuasive or look more "intelligent" if you addressed the point he's making directly and don't go directly into the us vs them thing.
4meAndyou · F
@MistyCee "US" is the small group of the American public who are able to remove their blinders for a moment, or, astonishingly, even step back from their ingrained hatred toward Trump that has been slammed into their heads daily by media arms of the DNC to view the arguments being presented on their lack of merit. I have listened to a LOT of this dreck...and that is what it is. It's pretty laughable.

There are rules in place for the three branches of government, and the House have violated them. "We"...my section of that small group mentioned above, believe that the framers were correct...that it was the actions of our House of Representatives today that they feared...and which are, in fact, the HUGE danger...when Representatives of the states seek to smear a President, knowing they have NO CHANCE of removing him...for purely partisan reasons, and without any valid argument that would not be laughed out of a criminal court. When an impeachment attorney actually stands up before the American public and pretends to know the THOUGHTS of the President, then our chain is being yanked. Not yours, apparently.

I see MUCH more danger, HUGE DANGER, in these Dem clowns who are trying to impeach a legally elected President of the United States, NOT voting...NOT bipartisan in House support...basically illegally... without having a viable legal argument and want to set a precedent for the future of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN PRESIDENT AFTER THIS ONE. They want to remove a president from office for the possibility that his THOUGHTS might have contained mixed motives.
@4meAndyou Thank you.

I disagree with most of what you said, especially about the President's motives not being reviewable, and the effect of that precedent, but I really do appreciate the clarification.

All the democrats should be impeached and removed from office for interference in the up coming presidential election.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Dems will keep it up as long as the sheep go along with it. Currently the sheep refuse to open their eyes and see.
4meAndyou · F
@curiosi Even some, whom I would normally consider intelligent.
Innocent men don’t suppress witnesses that could exonerate them.
4meAndyou · F
@JonLosAngeles66 People like the impeachment team who do not have the full vote of the House of Representatives behind them do not have the legal power to subpoena at all...and Pelosi decided not to vote. In what way should this illegal effort be legitimized? By sending witnesses who were NEVER subpoenaed during the illegal House investigation, as the House should have done, AFTER first voting as a full House?

Those who do not understand the illegality that began this whole process should probably not opine.

And this isn't some rube on the corner...this is the President of the United States of America, the most powerful leader in the free world. A crew of low brow wolves were sent to bite his ankles...and what we have heard is a joke. It's embarrassing, TBH, that these people made it to where they are.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
They just keep going in circles, as if just saying Trump is a low life is enough to remove him from office and prevent him from being reelected.
.
@4meAndyou Don't worry, Trump will probably tweet that it was said before long and you'll be able to take out the implied part.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou Well, considering how Democrats continue to change their rules to rig the system against socialist Bernie Sanders, it's pretty fair to say that Democrats don't trust the voters to decide who does and who doesn't get elected.

In both Kansas and Missouri, they are always trying to outsmart the system to advantage Democrats. In Kansas they run both a Democrat and a Democrat masquerading as an Independent, then after the primary one of the two will pull out. In Missouri, Democrats try to stack the deck by Democrats crossing over for the primaries so they can pick their Republican opponent.
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander I heard from someone here that politics is an ugly, dirty game...but I didn't realize how far political parties would go to cheat our system. They are like criminals. And they want to run the country. We might as well have the Mafia running the country...they want to legalize every single thing the Mafia used to do, so that they can rake in the dough.
