@JimboSaturn I can see oil production and climate change being used as leverage in international struggles, The US is the top producer of oil in the world followed by Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Iran, and China. The US is probably better suited to shift gears and move into other areas than most of these countries. The folks running things will move $$ out of oil and won't be hurt by it anyway. I don't pretend to have all the answers but oil prices have an impact on terrorist activities, how much we shop, how much things cost, just about every aspect of our lives. Controlling oil flow on a world wide basis would make someone or some group very powerful indeed.
