stingy politics?

so I was thinking about a no pan handling law in my town. The homeless are not allowed to sign but they do anyone but mostly by interstate. so I see political dinner events 500 a plate and donations and drives and it seems like only rich can run for president and they panhandle for as much as they can, so they can tell others doing it to survive they cant. seems backwards to me. are we run by elite panhandlers? 🤔

Thats because the elite think the World and all in it belong to them and only have a right to live as they see fit

What they forget is that we outnumber them 1000000 to 1 and we actually allow THEIR existence

Well, yes, american politics is completely corrupted nowadays, as y'all have made it legal to accept bribes, from corporations and plutocrats (the whole lobbying thing). The hypocrisy of also banning panhandling just makes me gag: noone actually stands out there in heat or rain, humiliating themselves for 8 hours a day, without actually being in desparate need, unlike the high value donation gigs.

Yes, you are right. You opened up a different, but honest way to look @ it

The famous and wealthy are often given things for free, or even paid just to have them in public. I know why that it, but still...nuts, eh?

It falls under the "you got to spend money to make money..." and policy, in this case. Unless people are brought on board with events and special dinners, successful elections don't happen. Bigger money can't be secured and if you're not elected to office, nothing happens.

Panhandling is asking for something for nothing. This, while unsavory, is a horse of a different color.
oh I think you are exactly right😒

You are pretty much correct
Sadly, this seems to be true
