Why cant the press , paparazzi etc leave the royals alone .

I understand where the sussexes are coming from and feel quite sorry for them .Just because their royalty it should not be legal for them to be hounded by the press ,paparazzi etc .They have rights and a right to a private life .We need to bring in laws to stop the constant hounding and jail anyone who stalks them when they are having private time .The only time the press should be allowed is during royal tours visits etc but should not be allowed when they are having private time holidays etc .There should be severe sentences handed down to anyone trying to disrupt their personnal time .

On the flip side, if you are going to take £24 million of tax payers money to redecorate a cottage in Windsor then say you are moving to Canada a month later, the tax payers are well with in their right to throw dung at the Sussexes. If they are going to live off public money, they should expect the wants and needs of the public.

@BoredDarkLord Just to clear up a misunderstanding: the property is worth £24m (belonging to the Crown Estate) and the refurbishment cost £2.4m+ to the taxpayer....more money than most of us will see in a lifetime.
@Moonpenny Thanks for the correction. I’d still say it’s substantial. Maybe they could pay it back to the NHS and help the common man with their medical needs. Something useful instead of launching an online brand

@BoredDarkLord I totally agree with you!

@BoredDarkLord I do agree with what you say and people are right they had been thinking about this for months so shouldnt have made all that expense till they decided one way or the other .Now they have jumped the queen should withdraw their royal privilage and let them go it alone as they want .

@Rhodesianman Regardless of what they want, it's the way they've gone about it.
