Saw that homelessness is on the rise

And CA has the highest in the nation. Maybe if they stopped protecting illegal criminals they have more housing for citizens

@Harriet03 his mother came here legally in 1930 with q Visa. She became a citizen in 42 news flash unless you come here legally you can't become a cirizen
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Mountainlady16 29 ILLEGAL.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@Harriet03 doesn't say that it says she visited in 29. You can do that without immigrating she went back to Scotland.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Yup, that's what it is. All those illegal, sex trafficking ms-13 gang members scooping up those million-dollar properties. It's all so simple, really.
🙄

@Graylight Makes sense 🤷‍♂️
We I would rather have homeless people than the murderers and rapists that are doing the conga dance across our borders every hour.
@QuixoticSoul True - so ? every nation has it's deplorables. We have ours and they have theirs but we dont have such a shortage that we need to start importing them. from other nations. I dont know about the last part it would seem that if that were true then they are just overstaying their visas. But I am pretty sure they are fence hopping to get here. And yes I am talking about Mexicans.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@MarmeeMarch Most illegal immigrants overstay their visas rather than hop the border.

It’s in the numbers - illegals lower our overall deplorables quotient - and it would take a drastic drop if we simply deported all the native-born wholesale.

I’m trying to think of the country’s future here, have some patriotism.
@QuixoticSoul My patriotism is tired of people breaking laws to come here to water down the crime rate, supposedly / statistically, by adding to the shear volume of people.

Big deal ! it looks good on paper, but if you just happen to be a victim of a crime you are not going to look at a graph - hopefully you will look at the reason why the crime happened. Was it an illegal from Mexico ? was it a redneck with an axe to grind ? I could care less how they are skewing the numbers to make it look like they not that big of a threat. Tell that to the prison system / court system in the Los Angeles area.

These are separate issues. The homelessness is high in Ca because the cost of living is high there and it has a mild climate. Thus a lot of locals are driven into homelessness. Furthermore homeless from other areas come there for the mild climate. The Mexicans should be kicked out to reduce crowding and crime, to raise labor rates, and to reduce the genetic and cultural pollution they cause.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Mountainlady16...which has nothing to do with the post.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F

Graylight · 51-55, F
@Mountainlady16 Direct relation to what jobs you say they're taking.

Let's try this:
"Nice shirt."
"Thanks. It's silk; my husband gave it to me."

"Nice shirt."
"Sometimes, later in the day my new shoes pinch my toes."

Wide-spread homelessness started in the mid-1980's. I've lived in California for 40 years. I saw it happen. It all started when Reagan was president and drastically cut federal aid for cities.

Homelessness is worse now than ever. In San Francisco for a studio apartment you'll pay at least $2,200/Mo. A one-bedroom rents for at least $2,600/Mo. average is $3,200/Mo. A person making $20/hr at their job is taking home maybe $2,400; their entire income would go just to rent! It's not only San Francisco, it's all over the state. Other places have a large homeless population too. Portland OR has a bad homeless problem. Housing costs are just too high.

@badminton I am in PA half the time and West Virginia the rest of the time. I cover an area from Michigan to South Carolina, I may be anywhere in between 3 or 4 days a week.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@badminton we live in rural ga
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@Mountainlady16 I covered Georgia till the beginning of 2019. Most of my visits were in Peachtree City, Valdosta, Atlanta and Griffin. Beautiful country.

It’s good to see that you have it all figured out

That's because thay encourage it.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
If every illegal up and disappeared overnight - the vast majority of the homeless would still be homeless and unemployable, half the non-tech businesses would fail, and the rest of us would have to start eating white people food again. Fucking gross.
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@QuixoticSoul what you don't like Italian or german food
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
California is a warm place... how serious could being homeless be in a place like that?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Muthafukajones Spend a sixth night in the woods with no showers, little food and constant threat.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
I think I’d head for San Diego Beach.@Graylight
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Muthafukajones You're not interested in our 40 degree nights here in the Bay?
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
Its a total disgrace in this year and our time people are homeless , when cohntries waste billions on shit things, the politicians mps should be so ashamed
Still wouldn't matter, their taxes and cost of living are so put of control people can't afford it
SW-User
The skyrocketing cost of living and endless taxes are a major factor as well
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@SW-User Taxes lmao 😂
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
I think the problem in Cali is more than just illegals, they have an expansive welfare system. They tend to cater to the homeless. The climate is mild from SoCal all the way through AZ,NM and Texas till you hit the gulf coast but those states don't cater to the homeless as much.
Or if proglodyte altruism wasn't as phony as a three dollar bill.........................
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
How’s the Democratic States looking?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
It's pretty much on the rise everywhere
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@MartinTheFirst but highest in the state that wants to protect criminals
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Mountainlady16 That's just how you choose to see it.
