Dear Leader, the Commissar Corbynov has turned the election to the non issue of broadband, by pledging he will introduce free broadband to all. I'm assuming this is the same as pledging to write off all student debt in 2017, which they later renegaded on? (Remind me, which party introduced university fees again in 1998 馃)

Anyway, the Corbynated Chicken estimates it will cost 拢20billion. BT say it will cost 拢100billion. Let's split the difference and say 拢60billion. Let's say there are 60million adults in the UK, then that means the initial cost would be 拢1000 per person for FREE broadband.

Not to mention the continued free movement, which for a party which supposedly fights for the rights of the working man, woman and non binary gender fluid others, is hypocrisy of the highest order - increased population, increased competition, suppressing wages and standards. And that's without starting on their stance on Brexit which is more confusing than trying to understand why cats randomly sprint around the house at 3am!

If there are any semi intelligent and literate lefties out there who can explain this logic, please lighten me! I know that is a contradiction in terms, but I'm trying to be inclusive...

That's just to make the plan a reality, though... what about breakdowns and upgrades???

We could all use upgrades to the rail system - starting with lower fares for commuters, which will benefit everyone rather than the select few who work in London.

We need improvement made to the housing stock more than we need to be investing in ideas that just won't work in reality or benefit a select few people.

@HootyTheNightOwl Exactly right!! What we need is a reduction in the population on a vastly overpopulated island! The infrastructure will cope again when the population is appropriate to the size of the country. Remind me where we are in the league table of density per square mile. I'm sure we're in the champions league places...

@KatyB This is why no MP's care about the North East.... not enough people/votes for them to worry about
@KatyB The infrastructure has needed investment that it hasn't had for decades - there are far too many 60's and 70's housing association properties that have had next to nothing done to them since the great robbery when councils gave away their property stock to housing associations years ago.

That's not even mentioning the fact that successive governments haven't been proactive enough in ensuring that more homes were made available across the board for everyone. Even now, the emphasis is on first time buyers - at a time when few can actually afford to buy, even with the subsidies provided.

@HootyTheNightOwl Council housing is a joke! I live on a huge 1950s council estate. Luckily I live in the slightly better bit, but the bit directly opposite ours is horrible. It's just a series of tunnels, pitch black with blind corners and everything. I feel unsafe after dark walking through it!! They demolished part of the better bit, but left the rubbish bit! And that land is just stood derelict!!

To build new homes means acknowledging an issue with the population, and politicians can't do that, because it will prove that all of us who have been branded racists and fascists have been right all along!! We wouldn't have a housing crisis if it wasn't for the fact this island is sinking into the sea under the weight of open borders!
