Yes, I noticed that. Can't say I'm surprised though, you kind of expect stupid from stupid.

@katielass So Republicans who think this move was a mistake are also stupid?
Is anyone allowed to disagree with Trump? Or not because he’s God?

@LeopoldBloom I have to admit that my aim is to attack the hypocrisy of the reaction, not the righteousness of the move, itself.... Which logically can only be determined in retrospect.

@GardenSage Since Turkey began bombing Kurdish positions within an hour of Trump's statement, "retrospect" has already happened.
It's not a binary choice between "withdraw immediately" and "stay there forever."

Lol you sound like a republican from 2008 @LeopoldBloom
GardenSage · 41-45, M
@LeopoldBloom but lol... what about now??? 😂

@GardenSage I never said "keep them there forever." I opposed sending troops over there in the first place, but once they're there, we shouldn't abandon our allies who sacrificed so much for us already. Withdrawal should have been on a timetable, with the full knowledge of our allies and our own military leaders, not Trump making a spur of the moment decision after a phone call with Erdogan that we still don't know what the content was.
It was a stupid move, and many conservative Republicans think so, too. And as it turns out, they were sent to Saudi Arabia, so Trump didn't even "bring the boys home."
