@GardenSage American soldiers weren't dying in this particular action. This isn't Vietnam. And it's not like they came home or anything, they were just moved to a different area to allow Turkey to carry out their genocidal campaign against the Kurds without our soldiers being inconveniently in the way.

Based on Trump's past actions, I can only assume that Erdogan promised to partner with him to build another hotel in Turkey if he allowed him to massacre the Kurds.
