Unless there is an endgame that I can't see, Trump has finally done something I think is completely boneheaded and dishonorable.

I can't imagine what Trump is thinking leaving our allies to be devoured by the Turks, and pretty much undoing all the progress we have made against ISIS. Am I missing something? Is he trying to punish Europe? Do you think he has a plan, or has he actually lost his mind?
On the surface, this looks horrible to me.

It is actually Turkey that is an ally of the U.S. They are a NATO member. The U.S. did never sign a treaty with the Kurdish (and Communist) militia YPG, which would give the U.S. the obligation to defend them.
@Mugin16 Turkey is an even more dubious ally than Saudi Arabia. The Turks are Cretins. Stupid theocratic hypocrite Cretins. We 'do' have some strange bedfellows.

@puck61 Well, then get out of the Middle East. But will the Israel lobby allow that?
@Mugin16 If I were in charge I would help Israel completely annex the area people call "Palestine", and set up the worlds largest multi-branch military base there. We don't need to meddle, but we need to be wise. The Islamists first attacked the USA unprovoked less than ten years after the Declaration of Independence was signed, and they preached the same filth that they preach today.
