Is Bernie out of the running?

I read today that he had a heart scare. He sounds safe but at his age, it's gonna be asking a lot to expect him to be President for four to eight years if he has health issues. It's sad really because he's my favourite American politician. I wish him the best of health.

I don't think it matters either way. I mean, I hope he's able to get back to full health too and all, but I don't think he has much of a chance at running anyhow. If the Democratic party gets their way (again), he's not going to become the nominee.

@Carver Nicely cynical. Though just because your paranoid doesn't mean...

@Burnley123 Just when I was thinking you seem pretty good at keeping your composure even when others show hostility. 🤭 But anyway, it happened in the last election, didn't it? Me believing it'll likely happen again isn't paranoia, that's realism.

@Carver Its not about composure though. Be nice to people sure, but know that we live in a cynical world. Powerful people work to protect their own interests.

@Burnley123 I think you misunderstood what I meant by that, but nevermind. And that last sentence is exactly what I'm talking about here. If Democratic party doesn't want Bernie as president, they're going to make sure he doesn't get the nominee.

@Carver Maybe I did misunderstand. I don't know you well and maybe don't get your sense of humour. but I think we agree. The UK Labour Party had thrown sooo much shit Jeremy Corbyn and still do. Some of them would rather lose elections than win with him as leader.

'To what extent have social democratic parties been institutionally co-opted by neo liberalism?' would be a good essay question.
