Is Bernie out of the running?

I read today that he had a heart scare. He sounds safe but at his age, it's gonna be asking a lot to expect him to be President for four to eight years if he has health issues. It's sad really because he's my favourite American politician. I wish him the best of health.

I'm rooting for a Sanders victory, but with his age I am definitely imagining a single term. He still has a lot of energy so he should be good for four years.

@ViciDraco I hope you are right. I'm a Jeremy Corbyn supporter and he is seventy. Trouble is that here, all our best leftwing politicians are either a bit too young or a bit too old. The neo liberal nineties and noughties means that the left lacks any big figures in their forties or fifties.

@Burnley123 our younger sorts tend to have more progressives, but the US likes our 50-65 bracket. Obama was younger at 47 and Trump older at 70 though

@ViciDraco The left spent the 80s onward in retreat and is now slowly reimerging. all the main figures on the left were those who started their political lives in the early eighties or before or they are really young. The future will be different but we lack those in the middle bracket

There are a lot of under 30’s who are making money and or running successful businesses that are right of center and support the President. @ViciDraco @Burnley123
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@jackjjackson typically the same self focused types that make up conservatives in every generation. The under 30 crowd also has a lot of leftists and socialists. Basically less centrists in general.

Also, right of center in the US is pretty far right globally. The centrist position in the US is at or to the right of conservatives in many other nations.

Sure. Conservatives believe in personal responsibility and are willing to provide man adequate safety met. Leftists believe some unidentified person or persons is are responsible and promote unlimited safety nets.

However the so called leftists in SF for example treat the homeless horribly while claiming otherwise. The tents, shacks, feces in the streets and used needles in the streets prove otherwise. The coastal elites lie while cowering in gated castles.

@jackjjackson And yet you claim that the homeless flock to SF because of all the perks and services provided by the government 🤔

The same people that claim that immigrants are taking their jobs and are also on welfare. It boggles the mind, indeed it does!

This is more than they get other places

@jackjjackson I'm not sure what you're trying to say with that picture tbh
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That picture was taken on the street in SF where the folks are kind enough to provide the land for these neighborhoods at no charge. @QuixoticSoul
