@SW-User I hear you. I'm still bothered by the fact that Trump seems to want it, but continuing to let him do whatever the hell he wants with no checks or transparency seems to be even riskier.

If Democrats continue to just make noise, issue subpoenas and Trump just gets bolder and bolder about ignoring them, we'll end up at the mercy of an electorate that will have seen only ineffectual obstruction by Democrats and a "winning" and seemingly invincible demagogue.

There are other ways they could step it up, but honestly, I'm not that sanguine about them, nor am I really that sanguine about how this bunch of bozos will deal with the impeachment process based on how they handled Lewandowski.

@RodionRomanovitch it has just gotten to be an overwhelming amount, and i think partially it was because of the realization he will not get convicted in the senate

The Republicans will surely make a circus out of it, and their base laps up idiocy, whatabouts, and bullshit conspiracy stuff so easily that they really need to be on their toes and be methodical rather than just having representatives mugging for the cameras.

If it comes off like a joke, Trump wins and makes it easier for the Senate to dismiss it out of hand.

That's what I'm thinking, but team Trump is not going to cooperate, witnesses will be intimidated and bribed, and who's going to chair the proceedings?

Hopefully, they'll think this through so it won't just turn into a shouting match.
