On Impeachment: What Now, Democrats? - The Day That Was | MSNBC

Trump admitted to talking to a foreign leader about investigating a potential election opponent. Does this now change the conversation around impeachment? What will Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats do now that the president has "crossed a Rubicon"? Meanwhile, silence from the Republican party continues. Aired on 09/23/19.

No.
It seems normal that the president would speak to foreign leaders.
And, with the business of Biden apparently bribing Ukraine to fire a prosecutor looking into his sons business dealings - asking some questions about that sounds reasonable too.

@Budwick But Trump isn’t allowed to speak to foreign leaders according to the tards

Trump threatened to withdraw aid, he pressured a foreign government to aid his campaign, does that not bother you? Oh sorry you are a Trumpist, nothing he could do would both you.
Would it bother you if trump pressured a foreign to help say Ivanka? @Budwick

@monte3 Fake news and Biden is the one who demanded a quid pro quo.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@monte3 I think you've misunderstood.

Biden threatened not to lend $1.5 billion if the prosecutor investigating his son wasn't fired.

The Interweb is crawling with Youtubes of Biden bragging about it.
I havn't seen anything abo9ut Trump - other than your empty assertions.

Fake news = anything that doesn’t kiss Trump’s ass.
So you don’t believe what Even Trump is saying he did?@eli1601

@monte3 Proof that he threatened to withdraw aid would be nice.

Check Politifact. The threat was made by Biden but getting this prosecutor gone seems to be a government wide stance. By not only the US but our allies. Biden’s son was a director of an Ukrainian energy company that had been under investigation. Past tense is important. However his son being in that position did create a conflict of interest, kind of like ALL of Trump’s businesses do for him. @Budwick

WTF does that mean?
The prosecutor was looking into what Hunter was doing for the money he was being paid. Cuz, it appears he had no talent at doing anything.

Past tense - so, you want to overlook Biden's faux paux - cuz, it's old news. That's very generous of you!

And I understand that bribery is not the same as conflict of interest. We'll have to wait and see what he's actually charged with I guess.

@Budwick it means that US foreign policy wonks knew the prosecutor had to go, for reasons that had nothing to do with Hunter Biden. Read some thing that is not right wing drivel for once.
The prosecutor, Shokin believe, was being pressured by Ukraine’s legislature for not bringing charges against the former OR current government. And was mucking up any chance of progress in reforming Ukraine’s f’d up judicial system.
The past tense refers to the fact pointed out by poliifact that there was no indication that the nvestigation into the energy company was current at the time.
And it WAS a ridiculous conflict of interest. Which are as bad for Democrats as Republicans,

For not being tough enough on corruption, right?
And what do you suppose he was looking at Hunter for?

Hunter is dirty on this.
Maybe his dad too - we'll see.
