Do u think assault rifles be banned here in the US ?

Its about time we looked at this story once again. But what about assault rifles in the US ?
What do you think. Are they really necessary ? I mean any gun can kill you. But these type of guns are for war mainly. It was built to destroy you from the inside out. What do you think SW.

The question is how you define them. Military weapons are already under severe restrictions and highly regulated. The proposals that I've seen range from banning scary looking guns to semi-automatics which are a high percentage of rifles and handguns made.

Assuming you mean AR-15's, AK 47 style, and the other similar models, heck no. They may in appearance look like military weapons, but the features are civilian in nature.

@sunrisehawk They only lack full auto, something that is barely even useful on the battlefield - even there aimed semi-auto fire is the real killer.

Ironically, if your typical school shooter had a full-auto version of their rifle, we’d likely see less casualties.
