The world is not surprise that the USA has about 100 murders a day and close to 300 mass murders a year ?

Why can't USA learn from the rest of the world? We are baffled??? Why are they not caring about kids??

1000 people have been shot this year in Chicago. 1000+

That's just one city in America. Yes. Schools and churches are also being shot up but there is a lot of shit going on.

@graywanderer Wow, crazy!
@graywanderer Mass shootings still represent just one-half of 1% of the more than 14,000 firearm-caused homicides per year. Yet, they're what everyone focuses on rather than the other 99.5%.

There is no official criteria for a mass shooting either. To even get to the 300 number mentioned in the post you have to include anything where three or more people are injured. I think the number is three, but I'm not positive. The problem with this definition is things like the Vegas shooting is classified the same as a fight getting out of control at a bar. I don't think this broad of a definition is good for understanding what's actually going on, but it's great for those looking for ratings and shock value.
