Parliament has had more than enough time to agree upon something, but instead of working together have childishly been blocking any and all proposals. A situation which could potentially have gone on endlessly. This move at least breaks that deadlock by making their objections immaterial and moves us forward in some direction.

So, I actually agree with this move.

@Quizzical Did I miss the no deal option, on the ballot? 🤔
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@Harriet03 It was a simple yes/no question on the ballot.

No deal was always a possibility, especially once the EU revealed the 'divorce' costs we would incur for leaving.

@Quizzical We were continually assured we wouldn't leave without a Deal!

@Harriet03 We did TRY to broker a deal. But it fell through time and again with neither side willing to budge.

What do we do. Just stay as we are when the majority of people want to leave?
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Quizzical I know many people who voted leave, I don't know any who voted to leave without a deal!
There is a deal on the table, mps voted it down. People wanted to take back control, now they don't like It!
You can't have it both ways hun! 🤷‍♀️
Btw they had 3 chances to change their minds, WE haven't!

@Quizzical Blocked by the same people who voted against May deal everytime until she said she'd resgin, surely by stopping Parliment your stopping the debate and ultimantly the solution because boris hasn't got a solution!!
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Harriet03 Yes May deal is still on the table and is the ONLY deal alvailable, boris has broguth on this mess he and many others voted may deal down for one reason for thier own power struggle to be the next leader.

the problem was may didn't ask the oppersition until it was to late to do anything, the tories haven't accpeted they can't get anything done unless they talk to the opperstiion.

@milkymum1 I surprised that people are surprised, it was obvious it would end up like this.
Hardly rocket science hun 🤷‍♀️
