FLORIDA Man Offering 'Fully Functioning' F-16 Fighter Jet Online for Bargain Price at $8.5M
Palm Beach, Fla - A Florida man wants to sell a ‘fully functioning’ F-16 fighter jet that was acquired from Jordan.

And this jet is not a stripped down model, but a ‘fully functioning’ used fighter jet, an F-16 Viper.

The 1980 multi-role fighter jet, which has an $8.5 million price tag, is being offered alongside two other F-16 Vipers, according to The Drive, an automotive website that also writes about defense topics.

This is not your average “used” fighter jet — the plane is a fully functioning combat aircraft and not demilitarized.
Who wants to take bets on whether or not the guy's had a visit from the gubment already?

If the aircraft still has its General Electric 20mm rotary cannon, which fires 100 rounds per second, that alone would make it illegal to own.

@Byron8by7 So you’re telling me that people’s right to own arms is being infringed 🤔
Byron8by7 · M
@QuixoticSoul No, just this particular type of weapon. It is legal to own fully automatic machine guns of .50 caliber and below, as long as they are registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and a $200 tax is paid. The key word is "registered."

@Byron8by7 Still sounds like people right to bear arms is being infringed 🤷‍♂️

And, for some reason, the turbo-patriot “from my cold dead hands” contingent hasn’t gone out in a hail of bullets yet 🤷‍♂️
In the early 2000s you could get Mig 29s for about the price of a Ford Mustang.
