Is the myth of the Baby-trump economy starting to wear-off?

Trump never had an economy.....other than the one he inherited. Since taking office he has not created even one job's bill....or even asked for one. No stimulus bills. No bills or effort made to bring jobs back to America--other than lip service telling us how he's gonna do that...yet even his own products are still being made overseas.

If you look at the graphs of market trajectory....they are on the same exact angle upwards from the last day of Obama to now. When Trump took office there was no sudden market surge. To the contrary there have been 20 of the single day biggest market crashes since 1929 in the last 3 years.

The "starting to wear off" idea is a market that has run it's course........from the bounceback from Bush that Obama created in 2009 until now. Trump's 20 market crashes have killed market momentum...and that coupled with no stimulus bills to re-boost the momentum afterwards....total resistance to the idea that the middle class needs a minimum wage raise so they have more to spend...and tariffs that have done nothing but hurt the economy and every person who wants to spend but can't.....Trump never had an economy. He is the one that is in the process of killing the one he inherited. He got on a horse that was already at full gallop--fed it nothing--never watered it....and as a result he has ridden it into the ground.

@anythingoes477 In the light of reality, you have captured the essence of what is going on. But, in the light of reality TV where "the base" exists, the economy is what they are told it is. At some point though, the reality and reality TV worlds must collide. When that does happen, when "the base" can't be sustained with the simple lies because it takes too much effort for them to pretend they are true, does the myth they have been living under crumble? And, what do we do with "the base" that no longer has that myth to cling to?

@anythingoes477 Tax cut + boosted spending = stimulus. So technically not true.
@MarkPaul First off the reality of the thing is...Trumpers don't care about the economy. They don't care that there is no wall---or no infrastructure...or no anything. His base knows that almost everything he says (just like we do) is total lies. They can read--watch the news--listen to every station (except FOX) and every comedian tell them what is really going on.......but they just don't care.

When Obama took office every racist in America shit their pants. We didn't have a civilization that was openly trash based and morally bankrupt then like we are now experiencing in just the span of 3 years. So racism seethed under the covers and there were quiet racist comments made about the Obama's....but hate was not on billboards...TV...radio...validated as normal from the highest places in U.S. society---like it is now.

Trump....a white nationalist himself........found the W.H. and Twitter to be the perfect bully pulpit to spew racism and hate. As a reality show host he knows very well that triggers his audience to clap and cheer. So Trump opened the door to racists so they could be racists in broad daylight. Not only did Trump make that welcome....the more of it they spewed the better Trump liked it. That kind of open hatred feeds on itself. So now we are back to 1960 for racial discrimination and hatred. I guess that is the "great again" Trump envisioned. It certainly is for the racist in America that has kept that hate and bigotry bottled up inside of them for all these years.

What do we do with those people when Trump is flushed away and they are left here to live with everyday? God knows? The only good thing to come of this four years is that it flushed the vermin out of the cracks........so now we know who and what those people are. How we deal with them is another issue.

@anythingoes477 Trump isn’t a white nationalist, he’s just an opportunistic douche who is willing to sound the right dog whistles as long as it doesn’t hurt him with the mainstream gop voters - who have a pretty high tolerance for that shit anyhow.

He might have a touch of that ingrained boomer racism - but come on, calling him a white nationalist is a huge stretch.

And no, we aren’t back to 1960 levels of discrimination. Not even close.

@QuixoticSoul This does seem closer to the truth. Like Roger Ailes, if there had been an "opening" to appeal to left-leaning apologists, he would have just as easily taken that path. As an opportunist and someone in need of constant validation at a middle school sized dosage, he literally discovered square footage of the population that was looking for attention and would give him attention back (in the form of validation). And, he gave it to them and continues to give it to them. So, even when he insults them (body-shaming the supporter who he thought was protesting him, proclaiming "I love the uneducated," violating the religious principles they claim to hold most dear, etc.), they find a way to hang on. BUT... at some point myth will meet reality. That is just a force of nature that can be delayed, but ultimately, never avoided. And, then I wonder if all hell will really break loose.
@QuixoticSoul The tax cut benefitted the 1%---ONLY. My guess is you make less in a year than that class spend on one boat. So Bragging about the big tax cut is pure silliness on ur part. You didn't get any of it. 94% of all middle class taxpayers got back less this year--and most of those had to actually pay more in taxes...than prior to the passage of the tax scam. That is verifiable fact. Look it up.

No new jobs have been created because of tax scam as the lies predicted...in fact tariffs have stopped job growth entirely. According to Trump's own GAO...there has been a net greater loss of jobs than there have been in net job creations in the last 2 years. There has been no action in congress to raise the minimum wage on a national basis... so no one in the middle class or poor have had any part in "boosted spending". Making the same--or losing their jobs entirely--or going bankrupt as farmers----coupled with a bigger tax load that 94% of Americans had prior to the tax scam means no one is spending more. According to the GAO spending has been on the decrease for GDP in the U.S. for the last 2 years. Your claims are repeated FOX bullshit.

And "stimulus"??? Really???? This should be easy for you.......tell us the stimulus bill numbers that have passed congress? You can Google those easily. Do that for us. Then tell us (when you can'[t seem to find those bill numbers) how paying an extra 25% on every item we buy as a tax--and that is al a tariff is to us.........how does paying 25% more of everything stimulate our will to buy more of anything??

You sound like a re-run of a bad Hannity show...as if any of them are good. Bullshit----topped with bullshit....and totally devoid of anything at all factual. But who cares.......when Trump lies and Hannity multiples the lies told by Trump...then it must be true, huh?
