I remember being in high school and going on a class trip and they had scheduling all wrong and almost made us leave but President Reagan said no and spoke to us. @YourMomsSecretCrush Reagan was the first prez to try to give the 1% a totally tax free ride.......and to pay for that he was the first prez to attack Social Security and Medicare benefits by taxing them to make up for the shortfall caused by the 1% paying way less into the system that supported those things. (Trump is using that argument now after passing his tax scam.) Reagan was the president that started the trend of the rich screwing the poor to benefit themselves.
For the last 18-22 months he was in office all business was conducted for him by his staff because he had dementia. The last year of his presidency he couldn't even deliver a speech publically.
Throughout his presidency he never made one decision based on logic, facts or reasoning. Reagan would not give one opinion or take action on anything until he first consulted his personal Taro Card reading physic. That's leadership, huh
Reagan invented the "Trickle Down Economics" scam that basically said the rich in America should be allowed to be richer and richer and richer---with no or little taxes so they can be wealthy past description. The logic behind that was...once the rich get soooooo rich it's obscene, they will sooner or later have to spend some of it to built a second house---or a want a yacht built---and for 90-120 days (while those things are being built) the poor people who do the work building them for the billionaire....will really make out because they'll be earning minimum wage for 2-3 months to do the work.

@anythingoes477 and by the way..... when he beat Mondale, it was after he served four years as president. the country already had four years of Reagan, and obviously approved of the job he was doing.

What one does in office---or anything else for that matter--cannot be fully assessed for how productive---or damaging----it was for years after it happened. A pro GOP commentary on Reagan says he walked on water, cured cancer and was close friends with Jesus Christ. A more objective appraisal of him and what he did for the nation while in office would be to recount the problems he left for us after he left office. So far "he beat Mondale" is your only facts. I know the reason for that....like most Trumpers....facts are meaningless to you. Only thing that matters is "oh yeah...well what about...?" and past that..........zip. I'd tell you to read FACTUAL history of Reagan dumping us deeper in national debt in 8 years than the United States of America had accumulated before him for 200 years COMBINED....Iran Contra....dismal civil rights policies...and the rest. But I know Trumpers.........

How about judging someone's performance in the job based on how they actually perform?
