Do you believe a homeowner should be charged for murder if he or she uses lethal force on a home invader.

There have been cases where the family of a perpetrator will demand legal action against someone who injured or killed their family member who broke into the home in the first place.

Do think this makes any sense?

It absolutely depends on the situation, and what is happening. If the homeowner has a credible reason to feel like they're in serious danger, no. And that can stretch a long ways.

But if the dude thought nobody was home, isn't armed, and is, say - on his knees with his hands up, you don't get to execute people for attempted stealing.

@QuixoticSoul Why not?

@sunsporter1649 Because it is not a capital crime.

@QuixoticSoul You mean the homeowner protecting his family should have a debate with the perp?

@QuixoticSoul there was a home invasion that didn't involve any guns. it ended with 3 people dead, and none of them were the home invaders, who are still alive, in prison. A girl, the youngest by the way, think she was 11, was raped. :(

It's true that some might go in a house just to find food. But it's very very very discomforting! It's not funny at all, it's very disturbing!
@DestroyerOfIdeologies if you want food from me - you ask me during the day - you come into my house at night - I have a sushi knife that is dying to fillet someone's ass at 4 in the AM

@DestroyerOfIdeologies That sounds like a situation where deadly force was completely warranted.

@sunsporter1649 Goddamn, stop it with the aggressive stupidity 🙄

@QuixoticSoul Maybe you can throw petunias at them, that will get their attention
