🤔 So, I think Obama's partially to blame on how things are today. My theory, and I assume I will get some hate. Is that he managed to divide a nation that was already on the rocks. The division and lack of justice during his term led to where we are today.

@Snowvixen I'm a fervent critic of Obama but it appears the most divisive thing he did was not be white.
@CountScrofula And made SOME minorities think that the white American's of today are to blame for their issues. That they are entitled and should be to blame for the things of the past.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen Right because ignoring the past and pretending it didn't happen is a great way to deal with things as in not deal with them at all.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow 🤔 That is not what I said. They happened, we learned from those moments but WE who live NOW are not to blame for any of those things. So why invoke the division now? Its like saying I was to blame for the concentration camps because I am German. It makes no sense.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen Yeah because a white person says sorry that makes everything better. This is not kindergarten. And I see zero evidence that anyone has learned from it. And you want to talk about entitled. How about people who are in a position of privilege from slavery and genocide feeling they get to arbitrarily decide what part of history is still relevant so it doesn't inconvenience them.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow 🤦♀️ So. . what you are saying is that white people SHOULD be persecuted for their ancestor's mistakes? What about the African American's who owned slaves too? Your logic is a little warped.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen That's not the argument. No sane person holds you personally accountable for slavery.
The argument is a society with legalized inequality for 300 years doesn't rid itself of it in a few decades. That informs the present day.
If one group is at a disadvantage, it holds out another group is at an advantage - and will defend that advantage as the natural order of things.

@CountScrofula See, that is where I am confused. Who decides who is at a disadvantage? The rich? A minority? A president? You are only at a disadvantage to me if you believe you are. You make life what you want. I maybe completely off, but that is my thought process. Obama though seemed to use the race card A LOT.

@Snowvixen America was divided long before Obama was president. It's been divided since day one, it's just more divided some days than others. Also I'd argue that W. Bush divided America the most in recent US history with the wars in the middle-east and the Patriot Act, sure Obama didn't do jack shit to end it but he sure as hell didn't start it.
@KeanuChrist Bush was defending the country from terrorists. 🤔 How is that dividing? I mean sure, war is NOT something anyone wants. But when you have a country to protect it becomes inevitable.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen Spoken like someone who has never had to deal with racism or any other form of prejudice. The fact that you don't get this is the best example of the problem. Things seem just fine looking down from the ruling class.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow ✌️ Whatever makes you happy dude. If attacking someone who is giving an opinion brightens your day then by ALL means! And I have dealt with racism. By people like you.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen Yeah because calling you out on your right wing fantasies is racism.
KeanuChrist · 26-30, M
@Snowvixen "Bush was defending the country from terrorists." Bush was defending the interest of big oil companies, most of the countries we invaded during his presidency had nothing to do us yet we invaded anyway and killed numerous civilians. "How is that dividing?" First there's what I just said, and second, because anyone who called it out was labeled unAmerican by a majority of the right-wing. "I mean sure, war is NOT something anyone wants. But when you have a country to protect it becomes inevitable." Then why do we keep declaring them when these said countries have nothing to do with us? There are people who want war, big oil and the military industrial complex want war. How hard is that to understand?
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow 😂 Nah, not about my "fantasies" but by being so narrow minded. Its my opinion. The left or the right, it matters not. The left deems themselves to be "tolerant" but I have seen so many examples of the opposite. Maybe, the left should practice what they preach. Be tolerant.
@KeanuChrist 🤔 So... should we have just let the Middle East continue their attacks on us?
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen Lol. Because thinking that a sitcom about white suburbia is a documentary is openminded. And sorry but there is no reason to be tolerant of ignorance.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow What you define as ignorance is not the same to the next person. ✌️ Peace from german suburbia 😂
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen There is literally no evidence to suggest more senseless violence in the Middle East would do anything but create more people with a grudge against the States.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@Snowvixen Ignoring reality for the way you would like to pretend it is is the very definition of ignorant.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Nah. Just different perspectives of reality don't cha think? 😜
KeanuChrist · 26-30, M
@Snowvixen First off, no, that's a strawman, second, they're not attacking us, they haven't attacked us since 9/11, which by the way, 15 out of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, we're buddy buds with Saudi Arabia, you stupid fuck.
@KeanuChrist 🤭 Do you feel better now from calling me a stupid fuck?
KeanuChrist · 26-30, M
@Snowvixen I'll take your lack of an actual response as my victory.
