Does this seem like a reasonable compromise?

Any high-profile "journalists" who either

(A) engaged in Iraq War-apologism during both the Bush and Obama years; or
(B) ever supported the Iraq at any point, and pushed "Russian collusion" at any point

ought be placed before a firing squad.

This strikes me as a huge win-win proposal for everyone but those who would be executed. Pros:

1.) We snuff out a good number of people who've proven repeatedly that the fates of millions mean little to them compared to their own team-sports attitude to political ideology, and who've devoted their professional lives to convincing others to become as deranged as they are.

2.) We do so in a way that sends a strong reminder about the true purposes of journalism, and might well prevent decadent conditions like those which have prevailed during the "cable news era" from arising again for quite a while.

3.) Both the Democrats and the Republicans who are retarded enough to remain in an abusive relationship with mainstream media will still get to keep the least-reprehensible of their talking heads.
