I'm no fan of Trump, and there is much to still despise about him .. but if he can successfully ease tensions between N. Korea and the US..
with this personal form of diplomacy, well good on him. Hope that works out.

Tension has always been there, but I'm talking about the war of words that Trump launched against KJU, and the joint military exercises with the South, that flared the Twitter war, and threats of annihilating N. Korea. These are the tensions he started, and then stopped by cancelling the joint exercises with the South, and declaring his love for KJU.
