Did your political perspective change during the years?

What do you think is the most important factor? Aging, new information, something else?

I’ve become a lot more anti-conservative because of the number of conservatives I’ve encountered who are full-on racists or at the least, apologists for racism. I used to be believe that they were just more “traditionalist” than the rest. But in the U.S. racism is a bigger part of our traditions than people would like to acknowledge. Some people of color, especially those who are very religious, identify as conservative because they would like to ignore that reality, but I’m not sure how they can.
