I dunno. I feel as though the media may be lying about all of this just to keep us tuned into the news. I mean why havent they found any hard core evidence yet about this issue. 🤔

@Zonuss The Mueller report included plenty of evidence of Russian meddling in the election. Numerous Russians were indicted. The question of interference isn't in question. Trump and his campaign knew about the meddling and expected to benefit from it. All of that is known and documented. The only issue that hasn't been able to be proven is that the Trump Campaign actively coordinated with the Russians to meddle in the election. And even that inability to prove illegal coordination was impacted by the Trump team lying about what happened.

@windinhishair People werent influenced by Russia when they voted for Trump. I think if the Democrats ignore this, then they are pushing Trump right back into the
White House.

@Zonuss There is no question whatsoever, that the Russians interfered in the 2016 election.
This is something all the intelligence agencies agree on, today.
This is something that was thoroughly documented by Mueller's team.
This is something that even Conway and Huckabee-Sanders, stopped denying a while back, and switched instead to: yes, but he never colluded with the Russians.
But you're of the single opinion that it did not happen? Or do you mean that the average person on the street, got a visit from the Russians, who asked them to vote for Trump, but that did not make them change their mind.
If this is what you mean, then you're not seeing how it happens. It was a lot more subtle than that, and the Russians used the same methods advertising robots did, to sell you something you don't need, with the help of social media.
Even on SW, there were Russian implants.

@Zonuss The Russians flooded social media with disinformation for which they are famous. Undoubtedly some people responded to the flood of negativity by changing their votes to Trump. Did this change the election results? There is no way to tell. But 70,000 votes out of 125,000,000 gave Trump his victory, so it is very plausible that their disinformation campaign made the difference.
If we ignore this as a nation, which Trump is doing, it could allow Russia to interfere again.

It’s not so much as influencing people to vote FOR Trump, as it was simply depressing turnout altogether by creating distrust in his opponent. So people not inclined to vote for Trump simply didn’t vote.
For example, Trump won Wisconsin with less votes than Romney had in losing it to Obama in ‘12. So it was all about depressing Democratic turnout.
The narratives “all politicians are the same” and “my vote doesn’t matter” are to the absolute benefit of the GOP in general. @Zonuss

@luckranger71 Good point. Many people were turned off by both candidates and didn't vote. Some would have voted for Clinton if not for the disinformation. One of my personal friends in a swing state did exactly that (he is now rabidly anti-Trump as he has seen what Trump has done).
