The Democrat Race To Socialism

President Trump has nearly single handedly reversed much of the damage the progressives did to America during Obama's term.

Since the moment his election victory was announced, the left has been pushing back as hard as they can to reverse the election results, defame the president and prevent any further improvements to America, for the benefit of American citizens; even as far as messing with our national security.

The country is revving up for another election in 2020. The democrat response thus far has been to move further and further left. Democrat candidates are trying to gain attention of the media and are promising to 'give away the store' - regardless if it's good for the people or not - they just want sound bites and face time.

Tonight is the kiddie table debate. Ten candidates will be trying to out do the other for media attention. Tomorrow, it will be the big kids turn to do the same thing.

Who do you think will say the most ridiculous thing during the debates. Exclude the moderators in your decision making - they don't count. [They haven't for years now.] Here are your choices.

It's total BS to liken the Democratic party platform to a socialist agenda. It has none of the markers of socialism. Thus, it's a lie to say that Trump is acting to keep America a republic- a lie Trump hopes you'll foolishly swallow.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@ImKelsey Kelsy, if you can not identify the socialist agenda among the democrats, you are a sucker, ripe for picking.

Thus, Trump is the best president in history.
[I know one does not logically follow the other - but you gave it a shot, so I thought I would demonstrate how stupid that was.]
ImKelsey · 26-30, F
@Budwick You demonstrated nothing but baseless bias. And your slogan is racism, religion and guns: pure redneck idiocy.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@ImKelsey My slogan?
I have a slogan?
xixgun · M
@ImKelsey Religion and guns helped make this country. And kindly watch those geocentric slurs, thank you.

@ImKelsey I was just scanning the responses here, and I hope you don't mind if I just add some notes. I'm not into exchanging insults, and I hope you feel the same. I just wanted to say this about the following quote:

[quoteIt's total BS to liken the Democratic party platform to a socialist agenda]
Bernie Sanders was actually a member of the Socialist party, before he changed the name of his political affiliation to "Democratic Socialist" in order to be accepted into the Democrat Party. The Democrats stipulated, before he began to run for President, that he had to run as a Democrat Socialist or he could not run at all. The reason he switched his "skin" was because he couldn't get elected in 2016 as a straight socialist. There are 69 Democrat Socialists right now registered in Congress and in the House Judiciary Committee.

"How many of the DSA members sit on the Judiciary Committee?

A: Eleven: John Conyers [Chairman of the Judiciary Committee], Tammy Baldwin, Jerrold Nadler, Luis Gutierrez, Melvin Watt, Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson, Steve Cohen, Barbara Lee, Robert Wexler, Linda Sanchez [there are 23 Democrats on the Judiciary Committee of which eleven, almost half, are now members of the DSA].

AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) worked for Bernie Sanders, and she also joined the Democrats, specifying that she is a Democrat Socialist, and some people now say that she, in fact, is the real Speaker of the House, because Nancy Pelosi is terrified of her.

The other Democrat Socialists are members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Link with names:

https://cpc-grijalva.house.gov/caucus-members/

The last group that are also considered to be socialist in nature and the members of the Congressional Black Caucus, who have a very progressive agenda.

"Senate Members
As of 2019, there have been eight African-American senators since the caucus's founding. The six black senators, all Democrats, who are or have been members of the Congressional Black Caucus are Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey, elected in 2013, and Senator Kamala Harris of California, elected in 2016, both currently serving; former senators Carol Moseley Braun (1993–1999) Barack Obama (2005–2008) and Roland Burris (2008–2010), all of Illinois; and former senator Mo Cowan (2013) of Massachusetts. Burris was appointed by Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich in December 2008 to fill Obama's seat for the remaining two years of his Senate term after Obama was elected president of the United States. Cowan was appointed to temporarily serve until a special election after John Kerry vacated his Senate seat to become U.S. Secretary of State.

Senator Edward Brooke, a Republican who represented Massachusetts in the 1960s and 1970s, was not a member of the CBC. In 2013, Senator Tim Scott, Republican of South Carolina, also chose not to join the CBC after being appointed to fill Jim DeMint's Senate seat."

It should be noted that the majority of progressives are not true Socialists, but what we could call "Socialist Lite", the near beer of socialism. What they do, typically, is espouse two or three very socialist programs while keeping one toe on the Democrat second base. I think Bernie Sanders and AOC are the only true Bolshevik style Socialists, masquerading as Democrats.

Because the Democrat party has moved so far from it's historic roots with the new Progressivism, Blue Dog democrats are largely turned off. Blue Dogs are middle of the road democrats.

I know this is super, super long, but I was just a little bit surprised to hear you say all of the above is BS.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou It's wonderful having really smart people on the team!
Excellent response.
4meAndyou · F
@Budwick 😊 Thank you. I just hope KelseyH reads it.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick She is right. You follow a slogan....a theme. A very narrow minded theme.
Your definition of socialism is highly inaccurate and baseless facts.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I'm an American citizen Zone.
I love my country.
I am proud of America's contributions to humanity over it's 243 years.
Every person on the democrat ticket stands for some flavor of socialism. Any one of them will destroy America and what it stands for.
Whether you recognize it as socialism or not doesn't matter. Their policies if enacted will destroy America,
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick No. Democrats are not socialists. It is however a branch of the global elites. Thank you for your time Bud. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss One of the front runners is a self proclaimed socialist. You can't hide from it anymore Zone.

The others don't have the balls to be honest with people about how their lame programs get paid for, let alone own up to socialism.
They're socialists.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick Yes Bernie Sanders is himself a socialist pig. But others are just corporate politicians running for money. That is not socialism you idiot. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss
corporate politicians running for money.
Maybe not.
Their proposed policies ARE
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick No. Their policies are just typical. And it has been this way for years.
🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss
They ALL want open borders.
They ALL want health care for illegals
They ALL want Medicare for all.
They ALL want to forgive student debt.
They ALL support the green deal.
They ALL want to diminish America

It's not been that way for years - maybe a few years - since Obama.
But democrats USED to be pro America with different ideas.
It ain't that way anymore.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick No most of us Democrats do not want those things Bud. Youre insane. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss
No most of us Democrats do not want those things Bud.
Then join the party that will Keep America Great!
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick No. That does not mean I am anti-Republican. Real life is just too complicated for people like you to grasp. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss
Real life is just too complicated for people like you to grasp.
Zone, you can try to weave some mysterious real life persona if you want. But, real life just isn't that complicated.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick It is to you. Your way of thinking is fucked up man. 🙂
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss
Your way of thinking is fucked up man.
Yeah, being honest with people is such a burden.
But hey, I believe that ass holes need to be told they are ass holes. How else are they gonna know?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Budwick Honesty. Ha. You dont know the meaning of the word.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Zonuss
Honesty. Ha. You dont know the meaning of the word.
Says the master of horse shit!
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@ImKelsey Requiring citizens to pay for free health care for all, including illegal aliens? What exactly would you call that?
