In 2015 there was $400 million shipped by plane consisting of euros and swiss francs (on pallets). It was from a deal for weapons. We froze 400 million in 1979 and never sent planes and weapons. It also was in part a prisoner exchange between us and them.
The US manipulated Iran's government for decades for OIL. During the 1979 revolution, Iran's assets were frozen in the U.S.. When Obama returned their assets, it was at a reduced amount and with no interest.

And the money was earmarked to pay Iran's debts because again, the U.S. froze their money held here. They had very little left.

Those are the facts, but trump supporters refuse to accept facts. They don't care. They are so frightened of becoming the next minority in the USA.. They don't care what laws do or don't get broken as long as their GOP can remain in power and other minorities are kept "in their place". They welcome the chaos. Facts can’t be allowed to penetrate the barrier or everything will crumble. The time when facts mattered seems to have ended during the 2016 debates. That is when science ended, facts ended, common sense ended and empathy ended. Facts, results, truth and evidence sadly means nothing anymore.

Another fact that the rightwing seem to ignore - Illegal crossings were at a 20 year low when Trump took office. There was no crisis. It costs less to equip someone with an ankle bracelet and provide legal counseling prior to a hearing, than it costs to inhumanely cage them for an indefinite amount of time.
WE should always SEEK to KNOW THE TRUTH. We should be willing to question our leaders. Our leaders should always answer our questions - the easy ones and hard ones - truthfully! If they can’t or won’t, then they shouldn’t be a “leader.” [b]Seek[/b] to know the truth!
