Can someone tell me why ILLEGAL immigrants SHOULDN'T be removed?

Empathy is free of charge. Billioners pay 0 taxes. The migrants could be going through legal channels if the 1% would pay 5% in taxes instead of 0. No one is asking you to pay money to save a life. @IstillmissEP

The US cant house every person from every country that has problems, we already have problems here with the amount of people who are under fed because they cant afford food to people who are homeless, adding million upon millions more people is make that worse. just because you say have empathy?

The problem here is not that there are immigrants. The problem is that the money paid as foreign aid is not targeted correctly. No one wants mass migration, no matter how liberal you are. We pay yearly to feed people instead of working with governments to feed their own. It is a challege that humanity has faced throughout history. We can solve it with clear planning instead of war of words and divisive actions. I hope you are yours will never face the same faith as some of these desperate human beings. Empathy is free of charge even if you decide you cannot help anyone. Getting angry because you cannot help is destructive.

@redredred of course not. They are not imported. They have escaped like you and yours escaped to come to US. Migration always creates chaos. And yes there will be resistance but don’t lose hope on humanity. If we cannot or will not legally open our doors to them, at least we can show empathy otherwise. I had two women here going crazy about my post. One an Eastern European, sitting where the right-wing parties are feeding people with fear about immigrants and people are entering the Nazi-crazed mentality of 1930’s. That is not the solution. I hope you agree that unwanted guests does not merit gas chambers. The other had your argument that 1000 migrants will become millions.. your concern is not dumb or selfish. It is a real concern and I respect that but I still think that a desperate child sitting behind bars somewhere in this vast country needs our help.

@Artistworkingalone When mine came, one side of my family fought in every war this country has ever had including the revolution. The other side paid its own way here and waited patiently for the Ellis Island process to be complete and then entered to find work. None of them collected welfare.

The ones who fought in the Revolution didnt flee their home but fought to improve it. The ones who left poverty did so on their own dime, observed the legal process and asked for nothing but admittance.
