Nothing against immigrants who go through the right procedures,
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@Nyloncapes seeking assylum is the right procedure. Try again.

@JaggedLittlePill so what about all of the illegals who go under the radar and work cash in hand and just disappear
@Nyloncapes youre right jagged is wrong. all countries have border protecton. it protects each country from invasion. if people want asylum they need to do things the right way or fight to save their own country. not invade others.

@winchesterbros I am not wrong. YOU ARE ENTIRELY WRONG. And only proving that you got your information from bullshit sources.
The undocumented are those who come on temporary visas and then never leave when they are supposed to.
They are not the ones coming across the border.
The ones coming across the border are seeking assylum. In order to seek assylum they need to be in the country.
The ones who overstay their visas aren't reaping any real benefits other than getting paid cash.
Employers love them because they don't have to report them. They have no protections. They could do loads of work and end up getting nothing. How would you like that?
They can't apply for benefits. They can't vote. They can't get insurance. So how, I ask, are they harming our country? By taking jobs that Americans won't do for such little pay? Wow. How terrible.
Maybe if there were a feasible way for them to obtain citizenship they would. Maybe we need to figure that out?
*edit: asylum*

@JaggedLittlePill they can apply asylum at any US Government building, like one in Mexico or other countries. they will have to file paperwork.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
thats funny because i keep hearing its costing billions of dollars to house and pay for illegals in the US. found one document from the government that even back in 95 that it was costing the government upwards of almost 19 billion and that was on an estimate of 4 million illegals.

@winchesterbros https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-asylum/asylum/obtaining-asylum-united-states
@JaggedLittlePill , asylum seekers can apply only if they are physically present in the United States (or at least at a U.S. border or other point of entry). they dont have to come into the US to file for asylum. asylum is different then running away from police and hiding.
