Can someone tell me why ILLEGAL immigrants SHOULDN'T be removed?

This is not to start fights, I'm genuinely curious on peoples' opinions.

I've never really agreed with the idea that being born on one side of an arbitrary invisible line should be a serious barrier to existing on the other side. Native-born Americans didn't accomplish anything to particularly deserve to live in the states; it was essentially an accident. So why should we base the priviledge of being here off of something that the people themselves don't actually control?

agreed.. borders are a construct. some of us are lucky to have been born on one side or the other.@BlueVeins
@BlueVeins people will bring their problems to other countries. there are reason for borders. each country behaves differently.

@winchesterbros It's not really worse for them to bring problems into our country than for those problems to fester in their own. And while cultural difference does exist, it's worth pointing out that immigrants -- even illegal ones -- typically commit fewer crimes per capita than non-immigrants.

@BlueVeins you fix your own problems not take them elsewhere. it will be a never ending cycle of having populations invade other countries.
@waleskinder It is true and unlike the fear mongering his statement is backed by facts and extensive research. Immigrants are the easiest way to clean up a community. They are coming for a better life so they make a point of pushing out the criminals and other elements that threaten their community.

A lot of the problems faced by people in these countries are caused by the U.S. though. The drug trade in Latin America is largely caused by prohibition and the squashing of sea routes. Mexican agricultural job loss is largely a result of American farm subsidies. The wars in Syria and Yemen are directly contributed to by the U.S. military.

it will be a never ending cycle of having populations invade other countries.
Citation? Is there any evidence of this hypothetheory?
@BlueVeins you cant have drugs. free drug trade is stupid i dont know why you dems think having drugs around to destroy lives is a good thing. american farming is hurting now sure why you brought mexico into this? as for the never ending cycle, i guess youre not smart enough to figure that one out. weve had immigration problems since the 70's.

Maybe sparing people the personal choice to do drugs or not do drugs is better than having violent gangs selling them behind closed doors. Fuck, aren't Conservatives supposed to be pro-freedom?

It is not. Mexican farming is going bankrupt due to American farm subsidies. That's why Mexicans are moving here to work.

i guess youre not smart enough to figure that one out. weve had immigration problems since the 70's.

Citation, please. If the U.S. didn't have immigration, our population would not be sustainable.
freedom but conservatives are against drugs. they are for free speech and to protect yourself. not drugs.
look at the drug war that reagan had or george bush. conservatives are anti drugs.

@winchesterbros What if the drug in question is ethyl alcohol?
"Although immigration has occurred throughout American history, large-scale immigration has occurred during just four peak periods: the peopling of the original colonies, westward expansion during the middle of the 19th century, and the rise of cities at the turn of the 20th century. The fourth peak period began in the 1970s and continues today." https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/immigration-united-states-new-economic-social-political-landscapes-legislative-reform
this started under jimmy carter.
@winchesterbros I guess you slept through the Reagan years.
