Have you ever noticed that no matter who we vote for it's always the Government that gets elected?

We kinda broke that mold when we elected Donald Trump.
One of the big reasons other politicians dislike him is because he is NOT government - he's an outsider.
I think they are terrified because he is demonstrating how effective government CAN be IF it actually works on solving problems.

Case in point; Trump did more in 48 hours (with his threat of tariffs on Mexico) to take steps to resolving illegal aliens problems than Congress did in the last 20 years!

@Budwick Congress is more concerned with the next election than solving problems. A message has been sent from day one, if you are not a politician don't run for president.

@GunSmoke9 I agree! I think we should avoid politicians in government as much as possible.

TERM LIMITS!

@Budwick Parties fight with each other in public. Behind closed doors they make deals with each other. We have term limits in a way, called voting. Yet people vote for the same people over and over.

That's just ONE reason why we need term limits.

@Budwick Sure but politicians would never vote for that. If politicians can bring money to their town or states that's all it seems the voters care about.

I agree that politicians would never vote for it.
Just like they would never actually solve a problem.
But, term limits can be done.
As I recall the fix is a Constitutional Convention.
Potentially dangerous too.

@Budwick I support a Constitutional Convention. Signed a petition sent to my representatives. I think around 13 states signed up. We also need smarter voters.

Amen to that!
