@helenS but another famous quote was by Bill Clinton when he said had this been 20 years earlier Obama would have been carrying our luggage

@helenS Just to toss it out there, it might not be the wisest move to take what anonymous people say online to be the truth.

That quote, which is out there to feed the wingers, SUPPOSEDLY came from Tim Russert, who got it from "unnamed sources," in relation to Clinton trying to get an endorsement from Ted Kennedy. It showed up in a New Yorker article with no way to verify it.

So since the guy you're believing already screwed up once with the PT Barnum attribution, it sometimes makes sense to take the extra step.
