Republican filibuster of the Zadroga Act, I can't recall a single Democrat who opposed it.

Jon Stewart's coverage of the Republican filibuster is probably the most memorable example of journalistic advocacy I can recall.

Actually, that's not technically true. Majority Leader Harry Reid provided the lone Democrat "nay" vote. Likely a strategic one under Senate rules. After some changes to the bill and passage again in the House, the Senate passed it and President Obama signed it into law.

The more important issue about this is the "sunset" rule in the funding.

That should be extended and the program fully-funded for the lifetime of the victims.
