Trump used to say, “if there’s nothing to hide, why not ?” And [b]now[/b] he’s obstructing all attempts to get him to provide the information. So you do the math.

@bijouxbroussard Their latest platform to rewrite the Constitution is to dismantle the electoral college. As for shrump's taxes, there is no actual requirement to release them, no such law exists.

@bijouxbroussard The EC is extremely relevant, because then the ten largest populated states would always dictate who got in office, nullifying the other 40.

@bijouxbroussard However, there is a law concerning naturalized at birth citizenship, and a certificate of live birth proves it. Obama claimed in his book that he was born in Kenya, his aunt said he was born in Kenya. Obama was not born a naturalized US citizen.

@NativeOregonian Trust me, I understand the premise behind it, but it’s also been argued that most states’ ‘winner take all’ method of awarding the votes isn’t really accurate.

@bijouxbroussard agree which is why the electoral college should be dismantled, not the constitution.

@bijouxbroussard That is how Alexander Hamilton proposed it, and how it was adopted into the Constitution. What is weird that even though Hamilton is the darling hit on Broadway and beloved by neolibs left and right, in reality they would be much hated by the real Hamilton.

Maybe [b]you[/b] can explain this: why was Ted Cruz eligible to run for president when [b]he[/b] actually [b]was[/b] born in a foreign country ? Answer: His [b]mother[/b] was a U.S. citizen. Did you forget that Obama’s mother was, too ? Those racist “birthers” apparently did. The [b]only[/b] reason the question came up was because Obama’s father was from Kenya and not Ireland, like previous presidents with foreign born parents.

@bijouxbroussard And I said the same thing about Cruz as well, that he was ineligible as well, and called the repubs hypocrites to their faces for ignoring that matter.

@bijouxbroussard Because history is considered the most boring of all classes. However, I always found history the most fascinating, because real people lived in those times, experiencing those events in real time. I have numerous autobiographies of plain everyday people from history on my kindle.

@bijouxbroussard While I agree that it should always be the mothers choice it can't endanger her in particular. Furthermore, it is not mentioned by name in the constitution, so it is only implied by OUR interpretation of the constitution.

@NativeOregonian But the birthers were lying. Any proof would’ve been uncovered by Bill Clinton, who would’ve had the means to unearth such information during the first primary. And in his book, Obama was referring to his Kenyan heritage.

@NativeOregonian I do care. I don’t have the luxury of sitting back and observing or viewing it in the abstract. I’ve already seen some real world fallout, with people losing their healthcare, an increase in hate crimes, and basic divisions. 😒

@bijouxbroussard I got so burned out with politics and how the kingmakers operate behind the curtain by the time Baby Bush was re elected. They already know who is going to win next year, it's nothing but pomp and circumstance anymore. The real reason why shrump won is because Wall Street demanded it.

@NativeOregonian Well, perhaps with the tariffs and trade wars Wall Street will make other ‘arrangements’ in 2020.

@NativeOregonian Arguable the media predicted so frequently and loudly that he simply couldn't win in 2016. This was done to the extent that mostly his supporters even bothered to vote. Looks like it might happen again or impeachment; hard to say He is holding up every other issue until he let's the investigation conclude. Might be why that representative objected to his disaster relief bill why let him do anything if he won't cooperate with congress. A bit extreme but possible.

@bijouxbroussard I know the majority of dem voters do not believe me when I say this, but there is much more tangible evidence Hillary sabotaged Bernie, and if the primaries had been kept honest, Sanders would have won the nomination and the general election. Hillary is the primary reason shrump is in office. I seriously believe 2016 would have been the first true election in decades where Wall Street would have lost their candidate.

@jehova the dems are stupid wanting to impeach shrump for the mere reasoning is that Pence will step into the oval office and make shrump look like the kindly old grandfather we all wish we had growing uo.

@NativeOregonian I do think it is wasting precious time, but he broke the law by obstruction of congress.

@jehova I am not denying that, shrump should have kept his mouth shut and let the investigation proceed without hinderance, but there was no collusion, that was a lie straight from Hillary to get back at Putin for the failed Ukrainian deal.
