@dyinggirl The USSR was not socialist though, it was communist. Having the word "socialist" in the name doesn't make the country socialist. North Korea's official name is the Democratic Republic of Korea. If you believe that it's actually a democratic republic then I honestly don't know what to tell you.

Sweden ranked #4 in the world in healthcare in 2018. And out of 230 entries by homicide rate, Sweden was #181. Doesn't sound very much like a country with a collapsed healthcare system where citizens throw grenades and shoot at each other in public.

@dyinggirl Huh, that's funny. I spent 18 months living in Gothenburg and I never met a single Swede who "knew about this." Nobody was dying because of a healthcare crisis. Gee, I must have been hallucinating for that entire year and a half.

@dyinggirl Swedish hand grenade crime is actually rather unprecedented and nigh-inexplicable, the cops think someone imported a big load of grenades from the Balkans a while back and distributed it to organized crime.

But this rather odd pattern is happening against the backdrop of one of the safest countries in the world, so it's an anomaly rather than something worth being terrified over.
