@tallpowerhouseblonde Certainly not!! 😬

Those interceptions are routine, and happen weekly. And no, Russians aren't shooting down our small private aircraft.

@QuixoticSoul Correct.Its defence system probing.

Two of the planes crashed into each other when they were on sightseeing tours. Hardly the stuff of conspiracies if you ask me.
Easygoing1 · 61-69, M
@Graylight could they have been shot down ?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Easygoing1 Lol no.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Easygoing1 If they were, the NTSB should find clear evidence of it.

Russian military equipment is shite.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde It was pilot error and a drunk general that killed the Polish, not the plane.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@QuixoticSoul It still went down.The Russian military is so poor they cannot repair the only carrier they have.Its in dry dock.Ship building is slow.The T72 tank was taken out of production because it performed so badly against western tanks.The Russians cannot afford many of their new SU57 stealth fighters,which are not as good as the F22.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@tallpowerhouseblonde It went down because of pilot error and interference from the cabin. The plane was fine. T72 was renamed and remains in production - if Saddam had Western tanks of similar vintage and condition, the results would have been the same. SU57 program is in trouble, but moving along, and Kuznetsov only exists to keep carrier ops knowhow intact, it's not looked at as a serious combatant.
The Russian military suits their needs quite well - but their needs are different than ours, and don't involve fighting massive wars away from their shores. Tbh all of this reads like sour grapes, because Russians have been accomplishing their missions quite well even when it runs counter to our interests, and F22s don't seem to be doing anything about it.
