Yes some will say that but I like to keep an open mind and not knee jerk a rhetorical. There doesn't seem to be a simple answer so instead of me coming up with a solution let's have multiple ideas and take the the best one. But no one inserts any solutions, it's just easier to pound on Trump.

@abe182 Yes, there is a simple solution. Don't invade Iran. We're not looking for a solution because we don't have a problem. Iran is not preparing to attack the United States. If you're concerned about their plans to supposedly enrich uranium, we HAD solved that problem until the president decided to undo the solution.

@abe182 Do I really think Iran is not preparing to attack the USA? Yes. What could they possibly do to America? They're crazy but they aren't stupid. And if they are preparing to attack, leaping headfirst into a full scale war by invading them is not the way to protect ourselves.

@abe182 I don't think we're going to attack them, no. Although it's not easy to call that one. We're in nine wars right now, what's a tenth to us. And furthermore, Iran is unlikely to trust us with diplomatic relations considering that they tried that and we stabbed them in the back. Besides, even if they did make some kind of treaty with us, we've shown them pretty well that they can't trust we'll keep that treaty whenever we change presidents.

That's why respect must be established. I wish they could have a coup and become a secular state or at least get rid of the leadership.

Unfortunately the last time they actually decided to hold a democratic election and function as a fairly normal country, America and Britain overthrew the entire government and established a puppet dictator so we could keep getting cheap oil. The one time they did what was right, we fucked it up.

Maybe we'll get lucky though and it'll happen again. I dunno. Maybe our European allies can strike a deal with them and get it started.
